Dear Colleagues:

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the 27th annual Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS) Users Training will be held in-person in New Orleans, Louisiana, June 26-29, 2023.  

The annual training event is planned and organized jointly by the Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). There is no registration fee to participate in this unique training opportunity.

The annual, mission-critical training event brings together a broad cross-section of the domestic and international nuclear community. The key learning objectives are to provide relevant training and facilitate discussions relevant to current and emerging issues of importance to nuclear material accountancy. 

Agenda topics encompass:

  • Material control and accountability (MC&A) reporting to NMMSS
  • Materials management
  • Peaceful use and nonproliferation
  • Facility operations
  • International safeguards
  • Regulatory and policy updates

 

A draft agenda will be made available in January 2023.  Meanwhile, please use the red button located at the top right to register for the NMMSS 2023 training event and to reserve your hotel accommodations.  We have secured a limited block of rooms at the prevailing GSA per diem rate for New Orleans on a first-come, first-served basis.
